Who we are
42 The Systemic Review is a publication of SCiO (Systems and Complexity in Organisation Ltd), a not-for-profit company registered in England and Wales, company number 03499590. Registered address: Unit 14 Tower Street, Century Building, Brunswick Business Park, Liverpool, England, L3 4BJ.
SCiO is the data controller for information collected through this site.
What information we collect
Site analytics. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how the site is used – pages visited, time on site, general location and device type. This is collected in aggregate and isn't used to identify you individually. You can opt out using Google's browser opt-out tool, or by declining non-essential cookies in the consent banner when you first visit.
Contact form. If you use the contact form or email us directly, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message, so we can respond. We don't add you to any mailing list from a contact form submission alone.
Newsletter. If you sign up to our newsletter, we collect your email address (and name, if given) to send you updates about new papers and briefings. We only add you after you've actively opted in, and every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
Cookies. This site uses cookies for analytics as described above. When you first visit, a consent banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies; you can change your choice at any time via the cookie settings link in the footer.
Why we process this information
- –Contact form submissions: legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and proposals.
- –Newsletter sign-ups: your consent, given when you subscribe. You can withdraw this at any time by unsubscribing.
- –Analytics: legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used, to improve it. Non-essential analytics cookies only run with your consent.
Who we share it with
- –Google, as our analytics provider, subject to Google's own privacy terms.
- –Mailchimp, as our email service provider, subject to their own privacy terms.
We don't sell or share your information with any other third party.
How long we keep it
- –Contact form enquiries: kept for as long as needed to handle the enquiry.
- –Newsletter subscribers: kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
- –Analytics data: retained per Google Analytics' default retention settings.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@42systemicreview.org. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
